Driving School Establishment - Instructions

While inspecting the Driving Schools the Regional Transport Officers and Motor Vehicle Inspectors are requested to follow the instructions strictly.

1)       Form-5, 14,15 should be approved by the Licensing Authority  and Serial No.s to be allotted for these by A.L.A

2)      At the time of issue of L.L.R and Permanent Licences the serial No of Form 5, 14,15 are to be noted by the A.L.A

3)      As per CMVR 24 (3)(ii) minimum space required for a Driving school is fixed as 150 Sq.ft . this should be followed strictly.

4)      As per CMVR 24 (3)(iii) at the time of issue of Driving School Licences for Sufficient Financial resources it is enough a solvency for Rs 15,000/- are to be verified by the competent authority excluding the vehicle owned by the Licence

5)      A traffic Signal Chart shall be provided as per the First Schedule of the Motor Vehicle Act 1988

6)      In addition to the Traffic signal showing by the Traffic Controller, Traffic signal (Demo light) model to be provided.

7)      Syllabus in Rule of  CMVR 31 E.F.G.H should be adhered to strictly.

8)      Driving instructions Manual (the book issued by IRT) should be available at the time of inspection.

9)      The photo of the candidate is to be affixed in form 14

10)  Instructor of the Driving School concerned is to be present at the time of test of the candidate concerned.

11)  The Passport size of the photo of the instructor is to be affixed in the Driving School Licence.

12)  As mentioned in Circular 50/93 dt 15/7/1993 the following items are also to be verified
