The owner of a transport vehicle cannot use his vehicle on any public place unless it is covered with a valid permit.
The transport vehicles of the central or state government, local authorities, ambulances, hearses, and those whose registered laden weight is not more than 3000 kgs are exempted from permit.
All educational institutions buses require permit.
